The Upstairs Gallery

Image
What artist created this awe inspiring view? Perfectly painted and air-brushed to perfection. The photographer is not its creator. The image hangs in the gallery above the trees' canopy on exhibit for everyone. Admission is free. Steal a glimpse before the day is done. © JBReid 2010

Hudson Skyscape

Image
Holy and majestic. Fog rising, sun setting, clouds sifting, water lit from beneath and above. Again, the artist at his canvass working magic with broad strokes of genius. How great Thou art. © JBReid 2010

Day Rise

Image
A morning filled with promise. The guidepost is streaked across the sky on the very spot of now. © JBReid 2010

Pre-Spring

Image
Did you know there are actually 5 seasons? I love the current one, Pre-spring. It is an elusive one that can quickly dissolve to winter or push full-throttle to summer. Mentally it transports me to feelings of freedom and physical vitality. Each breeze washes over me with freshness and whispers warmer weather is on its way. Stretch, walk, inhale deeply, ride a bike, direct your face to the sun...catch Pre-spring while you can...it is just outside your window...nearly within reach...there it is, and then it isn't. Night Gallery

Image
An ordinary day closes with spectacle. The artist who created this skyscape painted it as I made my way home from work. His art is not for sale, but will fill your sail with inspiration. © JBReid 2010

Moon with a View

Image
It wasn't a perfect moon. It hadn't been a perfect day. Merged in early evening was a scarlet winter sky with the moon in guest appearance. I was the view looking out the window. It saw me alone in a moment of transition. © JBReid 2010

Pearl River Sunrise

Image
Sunrise bleeds then dissolves to pale. Quiet before the march of the hours, the beat of traffic, the din of my thoughts. The only music is the silence which fills my soul with joy and I hear His song. It has no words, it has no meter, but it will be my tune for today. The title is Praise. © JBReid 2010

Beyond the Peak

Image
What lies beyond?  How often this is pondered and weighed.  Why not look at what you have right now.  Isn't the view enough as is?  What makes us think that on the other side awaits better.  Perhaps it is innate curiosity or perhaps it is the untangible belief that He holds a promise.  Believe, trust, take the risk, see what lies beyond the moutain.  First, you will have to climb to get to the other side. © JBReid 2010
